HIGH-PERFORMANCE GREEN BUILDING DESIGN

LEED Silver to LEED Gold:
Lessons Learned

The Brengel Center, built in 2000 is a certified LEED Silver building that has recently been upgraded to LEED-EB Gold. What made it Silver, and what was done to receive Gold?

Why is the LEED process important? An introduction to the Brengel Center and the sustainable aspects that provided Silver certification, with lessons learned and changes made over the past 3 years that gained the LEED-EB Gold certification. With more than 50% of the cost of ownership and resource use consumed by the operational aspects of a building, how do you address this significant expense and how does the LEED building impact business?
