HEALTHY AND HIGH PERFORMANCE SCHOOLS FOR NEW YORK CITY

The New York Power Authority (NYPA) has joined forces with the Environmental Business Association of New York State, Inc. (EBA/NYS) and the Healthy Schools Network (HSN) to promote high performance school design and construction practices for K-12 schools in New York City.  High performance school design integrates natural daylight, indoor air quality, energy efficiency and other features to create a school building that runs efficiently, saves money, protects natural resources, and provides superior visual, acoustical, and thermal comfort.

The seminars are offered for school board members, administrative personnel, school facility managers, local school building committee members, parents, teachers and design professionals.  This seminar will provide you with the background and resources to help guide the facility development process, and will help to ensure that the next school built or renovated in your community is a healthy and high performance school.

Each seminar is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is encouraged.  For more information, email Kelly@eba-nys.org or the EBA website at www.eba-nys.org or 518.432.6400 x223 (Kelly Bennett).
